Clean Energy Credit Union is Making Technology Upgrades.
We’re advancing our core technology to better serve member needs.
On August 1st, Clean Energy Credit Union will upgrade our core operating system, the centralized technology hub supporting our fundamental and day-to-day business operations. With this upgrade, we achieve a stronger, more reliable, and efficient system today, while positioning ourselves for future enhancements with more advanced applications, superior information security, and robust disaster response capabilities.
What You Can Expect
Our staff is happy to answer any questions you may have about our upcoming core conversion. Here’s a quick look at our timeline along with details on how this will affect all members and members with checking accounts.
Please note: Shared branching will be unavailable from Thursday, August 1 through Sunday, August 4.
All Members
On Aug 1st, our system will be down for approximately one day as we transition to our new core, during this time you can expect:
- Deposits / withdrawals / transfers from your accounts will be delayed by 1-2 business days.*
- Loan payments scheduled for Aug 1st will post on August 2nd (no penalties or late fees will be assessed)*
- Online banking and our mobile app will be unavailable
- Shared branching services will be unavailable from Thursday, August 1 through Sunday, August 4.
Members with Checking Accounts / Debit Cards
In addition to the items mentioned above, members with checking accounts and/or debit cards can expect:
- Debits and credits to and from your account(s) will be delayed by approximately 1-2 business days*
- Debit card spend limits and ATM withdraw limits will decrease for the day:
- Debit card spend limit: $500
- ATM withdraw limit: $200
- Coinstar cash/coin services will be available.
- If you have payments that are due on the 1st, we suggest using Bill Pay to schedule them for the 1st or paying them the day prior (July 31st).
- Please note: Scheduled Bill Pay transactions will not be interrupted.
Changes & Improvements
The new core banking platform offers numerous benefits, including advanced processing features, improved data analytics capabilities, seamless integration with third-party applications, and robust scalability to support our future growth. This conversion will also enhance your banking experience with improved security, faster processing times, and expanded services and features.
This helps us:
- Operational cost savings that we pass along to members via higher dividends and lower loan rates.
- A new Carb Hub tool will be available in coming months that will give members the ability to:
- Review & Track Spending
- Manage Digital / Physical Cards
- View subscriptions & see where you card information is stored

- Upgraded chat system will be available during Q4 with enhanced features

Rest assured, your funds are secure at Clean Energy Credit Union. Each account will continue to be insured by the NCUA (National Credit Union Administration) for up to $250,000 per individual account holder.
Yes, after the upgrade your payments will continue to automatically transfer from your savings or checking account as requested unless you cancel or change the payment request.
No, Online Banking and Bill Pay will remain the same.
All online bill payments scheduled to occur during or after the upgrade will process normally. Online Banking and Bill Pay functionality will be available with the upgraded system around 12pm MST on August 2nd.
While most transactions will not take place on August 1st, you will be able to access your funds via ATMs or your debit card. Our team will be available by phone/email/chat to answer questions.
No, account numbers will not change.
