Membership Eligibility – Residency Requirements
Membership with Clean Energy Credit Union is limited to individuals who meet applicable eligibility, residency, and identity verification requirements.
At this time, Clean Energy Credit Union does not offer membership or account services to individuals who are not based in the United States. For purposes of eligibility, “U.S.-based” includes individuals residing within the United States, U.S. territories, or those stationed on official U.S. military installations with an APO/FPO address.
All applicants must be able to provide sufficient documentation to verify identity in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, including requirements under the USA PATRIOT Act and Customer Identification Program (CIP) rules, which require financial institutions to establish a reasonable belief that they know the true identity of each customer.
Clean Energy Credit Union reserves the right to decline or restrict membership or account access where residency, identity verification, geographic risk, or regulatory compliance requirements cannot be satisfactorily met.
