Every dollar donated to Clean Energy Credit Union strengthens our capital base
Donated capital allows us to attract many times more in member deposits, which can then be recycled into clean energy loans that help households finance solar, batteries, electric vehicles, and energy efficiency improvements. As borrowers repay those loans, the funds can be lent again, creating an ongoing impact.
$1 donation → can support approximately $15 of lending capacity over time, including both the donated capital and the deposits it enables
$1 deposit → provides approximately $1 of funding that can be used alongside the credit union’s capital to make loans

The Revolving Loan Fund
Your donation is leveraged 14-to-1, combined with member deposits, and lent out as affordable clean energy loans. When those loans are repaid, the cycle starts again.
Expanding Clean Energy Access
Your donation helps us reach more people in more places, including communities that have historically had the least access to affordable clean energy financing. More members means more impact.
Clean Energy Banking
Every loan we make is a loan a fossil fuel bank did not. Your donation strengthens a credit union singularly focused on clean energy and energy efficiency. That is the whole point.
Why it matters
Clean energy should not be a privilege.
Traditional banks follow the money. We follow the mission. That means lending to members that other institutions turn away, including economically disadvantaged borrowers and anyone who has been told no somewhere else. As a certified B Corp, we are held to the highest standards of social and environmental performance, and we would not have it any other way.
