No. Instead, all “do it yourself” (DIY), self-installed, or self-managed solar projects are only eligible to be financed by an Unsecured Green Home Improvement Loan. For DIY solar projects, we consider the Borrower to be the General Contractor for the project. As such, loan proceeds will be disbursed directly to Borrower after the project is completed, and it is the Borrower’s responsibility to pay any subcontractors, labor providers, and/or equipment suppliers directly.
